Design Issues:  We design for Real People for Real Reasons.  Home Innovators offers sensitivity to a wide variety of viewpoints to explore during design efforts. For instance our portfolio represents more the variety of the people we have worked for, than any singular emphasis of our own. The design goal of any particular effort should implement the unique wishes of the client. The following is a list of choices or starting points which you may wish to pursue:  lifestyle needs not met by standard issue housing; natural or low-allergen interiors; integration of biological elements into building interiors; healthy vs. sick building practices and materials; mitigation of undesirable conditions such as radon, fire, noise or wildfire; stylistic preferences; authentic vs. simulated ambiance; use of sustainable practices and materials; alternative structural or mechanical systems such as:  foam panels and blocks, geothermal heat pumps, alternative foundations, natural and passive cooling, earth-sheltered and high-thermal-mass concepts, natural or recycled content and reused materials; low or no maintenance exteriors; and other issues such as building green, promoting permaculture, living off-grid, using low-embodied-energy materials or participating in experimental or low-income housing.
